Miam-Ô-Fruit® is a recipe created by French dietician and scientist France Guillain. Having travelled the world observing how indigenous populations eat and live, France has discovered what key ingredients and eating traditions keep us fit and healthy.
So here are the organic and seasonal ingredients that make up your Miam-Ô-Fruit®: banana, lemon juice, rapeseed oil, linseed and sesame seeds, three other types of seeds and nuts, and three seasonal fruits. But before you shout "Bob’s your uncle!” that's not all there is to it – the ingredients are combined in a very specific way to unlock the full nutritional value of the fruits and oils.
And there’s as much emphasis on the way you eat Miam-Ô-Fruit® as there is on how you prepare it. You eat it s l o w l y, allowing yourself to become conscious of your chewing and making it easier for your body to absorb the nutrients. Try it once and this really will put a new spin on how you eat.

Raised in a family of nutrition-enthusiasts, I have my mum to thank for
introducing me to the Miam-Ô-Fruit® recipe and France Guillain’s wonderful
little book, Le Miam-Ô-Fruit. From the first few times I ate this new breakfast,
I felt different. Although I was a healthy eater and worked hard to keep in
shape, I did sometimes fall into the biscuit cupboard. And I'd worry about
being let loose on the buffet at an event… if the food was there, I wanted it.
I was keen to improve my feelings towards food, so started making Miam-Ô-Fruit® regularly. Very quickly
I found my pangs for chocolate begin to fade away. Instead, I wanted a tasty Miam-Ô-Fruit®, especially if
I hadn’t made one for a few days. I started looking into France’s méthode a bit more and found the science really gripping. Even the simplest thing like chewing your food properly makes a huge difference to your nutritional intake.
The best thing about the Miam-Ô-Fruit®? It makes you feel good about food again. It teaches you to treat yourself with care and love. And patience!
France Guillain is the revered author of many books on simple, healthy eating and living. But her wisdom stretches far beyond Miam-Ô-Fruit® and food; that’s why she calls it her méthode. Her philosophy on food and self-health includes treatments with clay, sunshine and D-Coolinway. France is a true believer of us returning to a natural way of life, away from processed foods, medicines, food supplements and oh so many other chemicals. It's a vision I share and the reason I've brought Miam-Ô-Fruit® to Edinburgh.
